Delaware Bay Coast Region
Regional Map
Delaware's wildest, least explored region is the vast salt marsh bordering Delaware Bay. Birding and wildlife viewing are outstanding here throughout the year, with the spring horseshoe crab/shorebird spectacle and fall waterfowl concentrations being special highlights. The Coastal Zone of Delaware has been recognized as a Globally Important Bird Area.
